Safety & Proper Use

The FloatRider™ Water Glide Boots are a motorized water recreation device — not a weapon and not a toy. Riding is a blast when you respect the water. Please read this before your first glide.

The Non-Negotiables

  • A life vest is REQUIRED every single time, for every rider.
  • You must know how to swim.
  • Never ride alone — always have someone nearby.
  • Ages 12+. Riders under 12 are not permitted. Younger teens should ride only with active adult supervision.

Where to Ride

  • Calm, flat water only — think calm lakes and protected coves.
  • Use in water that is deep enough, at least about 2 feet.
  • NOT for rough seas, strong currents, waves, or rivers.
  • Stay clear of boats, swimmers, docks, and rocks.

Battery & Motor Safety

  • Never charge the battery while it is wet. Dry all contacts fully before charging.
  • Charge only with the included charger, on a dry surface, away from flammable materials.
  • Keep the motor intakes clear of hair, clothing, weeds, and debris.
  • Power down before getting on or off the boots.

Ride Smart

Start in Beginner mode, take it slow, and get comfortable finding your balance before you speed up. Check local rules for your lake or cove before you ride. When in doubt, don’t go out.
